From the first moment I stepped foot inside 4121 Main, my blogger heart began to soar. Every inch of this cafe/floral shop is covered in eye candy, you'll want to immediately pull out your phone and start Instagramming the custom-designed (and rotating wallpaper) as you enjoy your lavender iced chai latte.
Aside from your old-favorite coffee and espresso drinks, you'll find floral infused specialty drinks--following the shop's floral theme even into their menu. As you wait for your drink, you can peruse a wall of vases, dried florals, handmade soaps and more from local artists. Literally every inch of this store is a flower-lover's dream, you'll want to sit and stare for hours.
Best times to visit
This coffee shop is nestled in the Bloomfield neighborhood of the east end, within walking distance to Children's Hospital. It can be busy on weekend mornings, but if you're able to stop by first thing in the morning, just after the store opens, you'll have the best opportunity of snagging one of their limited bar stools.
My favorite times to visit? Hands-down it's Friday afternoon or first thing Saturday morning, and that's solely because of their weekend bouquets. Each weekend, they offer a limited number of beautifully made seasonal bouquets that are as unique as they are exquisite. At only $15, they make for a stunning centerpiece to your weekend dining table or for a no-reason appreciation gift to your lovely wife (not that I'm hinting or anything).
If you're visiting Pittsburgh for the first time or new to the area, be sure to add this cute coffee shop to your itinerary and let us know what you think!
